Prices and credit amounts change by region. See the pricing page for the amounts in your country. A guest account has 100 credits, which do not refill.
What uses credits
- Ask AI answers. The cost depends on the model and the length of the work.
- Smart guides, artifacts and deep research.
- Auto-Highlight, transcript translation and voice notes.
- Transcripts for videos with no captions.
There is no fixed price for one answer. To see what you used, open Settings, then AI Usage. Under Recent Usage, choose 1 Day, 7 Days or 30 Days.
Refills and rollover
Your credits refill each month on your own billing day, not on the first day of the month. AI Usage shows the date.
On a paid plan, unused credits roll over up to a limit. The limit is 1× your monthly credits on Curious, 2× on Explorer and 3× on Thinker. Free plan credits do not roll over.
Buy more credits
If you have a paid plan, you can buy a top-up. Open Settings, then AI Usage. Top-up credits have no expiry, and Gistr uses them last.
When credits run out
Work that already started will finish. If this takes you past your limit, the difference comes off your next monthly credits.
